About the Role
~3 min read- Proven experience providing high‑level executive support to senior leaders or C‑suite executives in Government or complex organisations.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage heavy workloads, tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting correspondence, managing reporting, coordinating Board minutes and papers plus creation of reports and presentations, that can stand up to scrutiny.
- High levels of discretion, professionalism and integrity when dealing with confidential, sensitive and high‑profile matters.
- Highly developed people skills that give you confidence in liaising with senior executives, Ministerial offices and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, at all levels.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and judgement, with the ability to interpret complex information and respond effectively to emerging issues.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset—comfortable identifying gaps, responding to changing requirements, improving processes and supporting a high‑pressure executive environment.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, government protocols, systems and administrative processes.

Placemaking NSW is responsible for managing and caring for some of Sydney’s most iconic harbourside venues and locations, including The Rocks, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, Sydney Fish Market and White Bay Power Station. Our responsibilities include the full range of activities in our precincts, from major developments to heritage conservation, from delivery of Sydney’s hall mark events to weekly markets, making these areas welcoming, accessible and successful. Our team includes a wide range of professionals across multiple disciplines contributing to the coordinated management of the foreshore precincts.
