Introduction

Summary Statement
The Criminal Division seeks a Legal\r\nAdministrative Specialist to provide clerical/administrative support to Deputy\r\nAttorneys General prosecuting cases in the Felony Trial Unit in Sussex County.\r\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, settng up case files,\r\nrunning criminal record checks, typing and preparing various documents,\r\nrequesting reports, responding to discovery, managing calendars, filing\r\ndocuments, and preparing witness lists.\r\nThis position will also participate in a rotation schedule to provide\r\nbackup coverage for the main Criminal Division receptionist to cover lunch\r\nbreaks and in the event of an absence.\r\n\r\n\r\n******************Internal Posting Only***************************************************\r\n

Essential\r\nfunctions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class\r\nseries and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any\r\none position in the class.� Since class specifications are descriptive and\r\nnot restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not\r\nspecifically listed here.\r\n�\r\n\r\n Applies agency laws, rules, regulations, policies, and\r\n procedures in maintaining and processing agency information.\r\n Serves as a liaison with the public, clients, agency staff\r\n and others to exchange information and explain agency services, laws,\r\n rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.\r\n Assures effective coordination of operational functions for\r\n assigned unit/attorneys.\r\n Arranges for the delivery of legal paperwork.\r\n Types correspondence and legal paperwork.�\r\n Schedules, coordinates, and confirms court dates,\r\n appointments, interviews, intakes, and meetings.\r\n Establishes tracking and monitoring systems and conducts\r\n follow up to ensure timely resolution of matters.\r\n Maintains and controls data and/or filing systems to ensure\r\n effective, accurate and easily retrievable legal documentation.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
