About the Role

SIA Meditec AB is looking for an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager / Key Account Manager to strengthen our commercial team and support the continued growth of our healthcare technology solutions in Latvia.

This role is not a traditional account management position. While cooperation with existing clients will be part of the role, we are looking for someone who can actively identify new business opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers, and drive complex sales processes forward in the public healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Lead B2B sales processes with public hospitals, healthcare institutions, and related public sector organisations in Latvia — from first contact to signed contract.

  • Actively identify and develop new business opportunities within the healthcare and public sector IT market.

  • Work with key stakeholders on the client side, including CIOs, CTOs, IT managers, procurement specialists, and board-level decision-makers.

  • Understand client needs and prepare clear, decision-ready commercial and product materials together with internal teams.

  • Manage and support public procurement processes, including work with EIS, tender documentation, technical specifications, and coordination with product and legal teams.

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with existing clients, while identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the Meditec product portfolio.

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline in HubSpot, ensuring accurate CRM data, forecasts, deal stages, and follow-up activities.

  • Follow competitor activity and market developments in the healthcare IT and public sector environment.

  • Collaborate closely with product, support, marketing, and leadership teams to move opportunities forward effectively.

  • Represent SIA Meditec AB in client meetings, industry events, and healthcare sector discussions.

  • At least 3–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience in IT, SaaS, software, system integration, or a similar technology-driven environment.

  • Experience working with public sector clients, preferably hospitals, healthcare institutions, or other regulated organisations.

  • Practical understanding of Latvian public procurement processes, including EIS, tender procedures, thresholds, and bid preparation.

  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and work with several stakeholders in one buying process.

  • Strong understanding of SaaS or software business models, including recurring revenue, renewals, contract structures, and long-term customer development.

  • Existing experience or strong interest in healthcare digitalisation and public sector IT.

  • High level of independence, energy, ownership, and focus on results.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to speak confidently with both technical specialists and senior decision-makers.

  • Native-level Latvian and professional-level English.

  • Existing contacts within Latvian hospitals, healthcare institutions, IT departments, or public sector organisations.

  • Experience working with IT integrators or companies delivering solutions to the public sector.

  • Knowledge of healthcare IT, clinical processes, medical information systems, or standards such as HL7, FHIR, or E-veselība.

  • Experience using HubSpot or another CRM system.

  • Experience preparing commercial proposals, board-level presentations, or procurement documentation.

  • Proactive and commercially driven - you do not wait for opportunities to come in, but actively create them.

  • Understand that public sector sales require patience, structure, and persistence, while still knowing how to keep momentum.

  • Can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

  • Know how to build trust with IT stakeholders, procurement teams, and senior management.

  • Comfortable working in a market where relationships, credibility, and long-term consistency matter.

  • Enjoy working in a growing business where your input can influence both sales strategy and product direction.
