Ganahl Lumber Escondido is looking for a Contractor Sales Manager to lead a dynamic and growing sales team.  We are looking for someone with sales expertise within our industry and with the products we sell.  Sales leadership consists of vast skills in developing people, discovery skills, negotiating contracts, problem solving and building strong relationships with our customer base, suppliers and with each other.  The job requires a strong commitment to putting in the time needed and the skills to grow our people and grow our customer base.  This is absolutely an awesome career opportunity. 

Past experience should include year’s performing the following

• Proficient computer skills.
• Products and supply line experience.
• A contributor to running a facility.  Must be all in.
• Run at a fast pace, keep composure with high pressure environments.
• Lead by example at all times in the areas of hospitality, sales and professionalism.
• Ability to discover what a customer needs and contribute to their success and profitability.
• A track record of developing sales professionals.
• A track record of growing sales.
• Knowledge of lumber and or building materials.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring and training sales professionals.
• Experience creating long-term, trust relationships with customers.
• Sales experience and or sales management experience.
• The commitment to work an average of 50 hours per week.

Ganahl Lumber Company is the oldest lumberyard and hardware supply store in California. Since 1884, we have been a family- and employee-owned business providing building supplies and hardware for pro contractors and DIY enthusiasts alike. Our products include lumber, tools, paint, building materials, millwork, doors, and windows. With 11 convenient store locations, we serve customers throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
