Role Summary The Mid-Level Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a key driver of our B2B growth, responsible for identifying and engaging high-value prospects within the media and publishing landscape. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on bridging the gap between marketing interest and closed deals by securing high-quality discovery calls for the sales team. Success is measured by the volume and quality of the sales pipeline generated through persistent, multi-channel outbound outreach. Work Setup & Collaboration Hybrid Model: Based in London with a requirement of 2–3 days per week in the office to foster team culture and real-time coaching. High Autonomy: Expected to manage your own daily schedule and outreach cadence while aligning with broader regional sales strategies. Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Account Executives (AEs) to ensure seamless handoffs and with Marketing to refine lead-generation messaging. What You'll Do Research and identify target accounts and key decision-makers across B2B companies to build a robust prospecting database. Execute multi-channel outbound campaigns using email, LinkedIn, and phone calls to initiate meaningful business conversations. Qualify inbound leads quickly to assess fit and urgency before escalating to the Account Executive team. Schedule and coordinate discovery calls between qualified prospects and Account Executives to build a healthy sales pipeline. Maintain precise CRM data to ensure accurate forecasting, lead tracking, and pipeline visibility for the leadership team. Collaborate with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and contribute to the development of effective sales messaging. Own the early-stage funnel by identifying bottlenecks in the outreach process and suggesting improvements to increase conversion. Participate in sales sprints and training sessions to sharpen negotiation, objection-handling, and prospecting skills. Success Indicators Consistently achieve 100% of monthly and quarterly qualified meeting targets. Maintain a conversion rate of ≥[X]% from booked discovery calls to accepted sales opportunities. Ensure 100% CRM hygiene, with all activities, notes, and lead statuses updated daily. Deliver high-volume activity aligned with weekly benchmarks for calls, emails, and social touches. Required Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in an SDR or BDR role with a proven track record of quota attainment. Experience in B2B sales, demonstrating a clear understanding of the professional buyer’s journey. Exceptional verbal communication skills, with the confidence to conduct cold calls and handle objections effectively. Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage high-volume prospecting workflows. Strong written communication for crafting personalized, high-conversion outreach sequences and professional follow-ups. Ability to commute to London 2–3 days per week for in-person collaboration and team sessions. Nice to Have Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or sales engagement platforms like Outreach or Salesloft. Previous exposure to the Media & Publishing industry or a fast-paced SaaS environment. Knowledge of account-based marketing (ABM) principles and targeted prospecting techniques. About the Team/Environment We are a high-velocity, growth-oriented team that values bias for action and continuous learning. Our environment is characterized by a "test and learn" mentality, where we iterate quickly on messaging and strategy to stay ahead of the market. You will join a supportive group of sales professionals who prioritize transparency, healthy competition, and shared success.
