Assistant Director of Sales
OBJECTIVE
The Assistant Director of Sales for Middle East, France, Eastern Europe & Maldives is responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing strategies, both short and long term, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally and through subordinates.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of sales Reports and Annual Sales Plan.
- Creating an effective sales Programs that will increase awareness and positive perception of the Resort, its activities etc in Middle East, France, Eastern Europe & Maldives.
- Should have very clear knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and the global economic outlook.
- Develop rate structure, group sales strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis, and market mix.
- Develops and implements strategic sales and marketing plans and forecasts to achieve budgets.
- Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
- Ensures effective control of marketing results and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
- Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
- Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners and provide necessary product training for TO/TA partners.
- Preparation of sales activity reports and presents to executive management.
- Preparation of sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Managing staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
- Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing different sales strategies based on geo market requirements and goals.
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion etc.
- Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs/ plans to determine effectiveness.
- Undertake sales trips and trade shows where designated to secure all revenue opportunities.
- Oversee site inspections for all business partners including travel industry, media, and groups with assistance from other marketing team members where appropriate.
- Take responsibility for your own professional development, ensuring that you have the financial literacy, negotiation and face-to-face selling skills needed to successfully do your job.
- Maintain a full working knowledge of the IT support tools used in the world of sales today, including sales-specific software, property PMS, the Microsoft Office toolset.
- Ensure that all administration is processed quickly and efficiently.
- Project a professional image to maintain and enhance the reputation of the Kandima Maldives and the brand
- Ability to plan and prioritise work in order to achieve targets and deadlines.
- Proven ability to negotiate to achieve a desired outcome.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally using written and spoken English.
- Highly financially literate, and proficient in business financials

- To be appraised by the Director of Sales
