We are looking for a results-driven and experienced Account Manager - Energy & Commodities - North America, responsible for account management across the energy commodities sector in North America. This role will lead a group of sales people, driving both growth from existing accounts and acquisition of new clients. The ideal candidate is motivated by selling disruptive technology solutions in the commodity markets and implementing a strategic sales plan to maximize revenue.
Identify key markets and monitor emerging trends and industry factors (competitors, regulations, pricing).
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and other teams to ensure client feedback informs the product roadmap.
Work with peers and senior management to align on global sales strategy and regional execution plans.
Maintain updated notes, records of client engagements and forecasts on pipeline and deal flow.
Must-Have: Proven experience selling SaaS/DaaS/tech/data solutions to the energy/commodities sector across North America.
Knowledge of commodities markets and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and able to thrive in unstructured, fast-paced, and dynamic environments.
A collaborative team player focused on long-term business and team success.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
5+ years of sales experience, ideally in SaaS or DaaS, within Energy, Commodities, Maritime, or Financial Services industries.
3+ years of experience leading sales teams, with a proven track record in managing and developing high-performing teams.
In-depth knowledge of modern sales techniques, driving teams to achieve ambitious goals in both account management and new business acquisition.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate actionable insights from sales data.
A hands-on, leading-by-example approach, thriving in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
Ability to balance short-term targets and long-term strategic goals, including market trends and business opportunities.
Flexible, cooperative, and committed to going the extra mile to adapt to change and drive success.
