About the Role
~1 min readWe are looking for a gospel-centered, strategic thinker with a passion for people and substantial experience in HR to join the LifeWise team. The Human Resources Generalist will play a pivotal role in implementing HR strategies and processes that align with the goals of LifeWise Academy and foster a positive, collaborative work culture. This full-time position is based at our headquarters in Hilliard, Ohio (just outside of Columbus).
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide support on a comprehensive range of HR activities, including performance management, policy compliance, recruitment, compensation, employee relations and other HR-related functional areas
- →Make recommendations regarding adherence to applicable federal, state and local laws, as well as LifeWise Academy policies and procedures
- →Create and maintain documentation for HR processes and best practices
- →Support LifeWise Academy’s efforts to maintain a healthy and supportive workplace culture, while ensuring accountability to organizational values and ethical standards
- →Support the HR manager in developing a high-performing HR team
- →Optimize tools and platforms to improve team productivity and user experience
- →Partner with other teams to resolve complex program needs
- →Address HR matters including disciplinary actions, performance issues and employee separations
- →Participate in the implementation and integration of new policies, procedures, tools and strategies
- →Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
~1 min read- A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
- 2+ years of experience as an HR professional
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or similar (preferred)
- Experience working in a faith-based or nonprofit environment (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to facilitate crucial conversations
- Comprehensive understanding of HR legislation, policies and procedures
- PHR or SPHR certification (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills, including Google Workspace
