Marine Sales Engineer

A leading marine engineering and ship-repair organization is seeking an experienced Marine Sales Engineer to drive business development across vessel repair, maintenance, and technical service projects.

The successful candidate will combine marine technical knowledge with strong commercial and relationship-management skills, developing opportunities with ship owners, fleet managers, shipyards, and other maritime stakeholders.

• →Identify, develop, and maintain business opportunities with ship owners, fleet managers, vessel operators, and shipyards.
• →Conduct vessel visits, onboard inspections, and technical site assessments to understand repair requirements and define project scope.
• →Review technical specifications, repair requirements, cost estimates, and commercial quotations before submission to clients.
• →Prepare and present technically sound, commercially competitive proposals for ship repair and marine engineering services.
• →Negotiate commercial terms, coordinate client discussions, and support the finalization of repair contracts and service agreements.
• →Work closely with internal engineering, workshop, procurement, and operations teams to confirm project feasibility, resource availability, timelines, and execution requirements.
• →Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the sales and project-award process.
• →Monitor market developments, vessel activity, regional maritime projects, competitor movements, and emerging business opportunities.
• →Build long-term client relationships and contribute to the company's sales strategy and revenue growth.

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
• Proven experience in technical B2B sales within ship repair, marine engineering, diesel engines, vessel maintenance, or maritime services.
• Strong technical understanding of vessel machinery, marine diesel engines, auxiliary equipment, drydocking processes, and onboard repair operations.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements, repair scopes, drawings, and commercial cost estimates.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and client relationship-management skills.
• Comfortable conducting vessel visits, attending shipyard meetings, and working in a field-based sales environment.
• Commercially driven, proactive, and able to independently develop and convert new business leads.
• Knowledge of the UAE/GCC marine market will be an advantage.
• Valid driving licence and flexibility to travel for client meetings and vessel visits are preferred.
