Packaging Machine Design

As a member of the Engineering team (one of the divisions in SEDIN), you will be responsible for the Product design and development applications. You will be working with other engineers and developers on different layers of the infrastructure. ●      You have good Communication & client facing skills

●      You have minimum 5 years of experience for Design Engineer Profile [Certificate will be validated]

●      You have minimum 2 years of experience for Semiconductor Industry Profile [Certificate will be validated]

●      You have worked on multiple Client facing projects

●      You have good experience in SolidWorks, Catia V5, Unigraphics, Creo

●      You are Flexible to work remotely and if required from office [Chennai/Bangalore] based on the project needs.

• Requires strong skills in product technology, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Requires mechanical design experience that involves static structures, (and /or) dynamic parts or assemblies, (and /or) usage of pneumatic elements.
• Requires proficiency in selection of materials and OEM components for functional requirement and adopt engineering principles and technologies during equipment/ machine constructions
• Requires working knowledge of GD&T applications based on requirements.
• Requires experience of engineering change managements, analyze and trouble shoot to problems occurred.
• Requires working experience on CAD tools like Solid works/ Inventor/Pro-E/Creo and Intralinks to perform Job function.
• Knowledgeable on ERP products like SAP /Oracle/ PDM would be nice to have.
• Knowledgeable on vacuum technology.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering would be nice to have
• Designing and developing: The engineer is responsible for creating conceptual designs and detailed engineering drawings for special purpose machines. They analyze the requirements and specifications provided by clients or internal stakeholders and develop innovative and practical solutions.
• Conceptualization and prototyping: The engineer engages in brainstorming sessions to conceptualize machine designs that meet the desired outcomes. They create prototypes or models to test and validate the functionality, efficiency, and safety of the machines before moving on to the manufacturing phase.
• Mechanical and electrical engineering: The design engineer is proficient in both mechanical and electrical engineering principles. They work on the mechanical design aspects such as structural integrity, mechanisms, and material selection, as well as the electrical design aspects including control systems, sensors, actuators, and automation components.
• Collaboration and communication: Special purpose machine design engineers work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, clients, manufacturing personnel, and vendors. Effective communication skills are essential to understand requirements, present design proposals, address concerns, and ensure smooth coordination throughout the design and manufacturing process.
