About the Role
~1 min readWe are hiring an Intake & Scheduling Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for patients, families, and referral partners within a US-based home health and hospice platform. This role is central to patient onboarding, insurance validation, and scheduling coordination across clinical teams. This is a high-accountability role requiring strong English communication
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Serve as first point of contact for patient referrals
- Process intake requests and create patient records
- Coordinate onboarding and initial documentation
- Verify insurance eligibility (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial)
- Manage prior authorizations and coverage validation
- Ensure all documentation supports billing requirements
- Manage clinical scheduling and patient visit coordination
- Handle urgent scheduling changes and prioritization
- Maintain accurate scheduling records across systems
- Act as communication hub between patients, families, clinicians, and referral partners
- Support referral relationships and community engagement activities
- Assist with after-hours urgent coordination when required
- Strong English communication and client-facing skills
- Experience in healthcare intake, scheduling, or insurance coordination preferred
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability
- Comfortable working across time-sensitive workflows
- Familiarity with EMR systems (HCHB experience is a plus)
This role ensures patients are properly onboarded, insured, and scheduled. It directly impacts patient access, revenue flow, and care continuity.
