We are a rapidly growing, locally-owned commercial paving contractor based in the greater Atlanta area, with over ten years of experience and a 5-star reputation across the Southeast. We deliver asphalt and concrete paving, striping, sealcoating, striping, and turnkey sitework — everything from new parking lots, roads, sidewalks, and more, throughout the entire sourheast.
We are in an aggressive growth phase. Beyond individual projects, our strategy is to become the preferred paving vendor for Fortune 500 companies, apartment owners, and commercial facilities across multiple states. We already hold preferred-vendor relationships with major property owners, and we are building the outbound team that will win the next wave of those accounts.
About the Role
~1 min readThis role exists because one of the founders is transitioning from lead salesperson into a sales-management position and is building a dedicated outbound engine from the ground up. You are the top of that funnel, and it is your responsibility to sell jobs.
Your job is to create qualified commercial opportunities — not to wait for inbound leads. You will spend your day on the phone, on LinkedIn, reaching decision-makers at property management companies, apartment owners, developers, and commercial facilities, qualifying them, and closing these leads. You will also be responsible for running takeoff/measuring out jobs and scopes, and inputting quotes into our quoting system.
Once a job is won, you will also assist with procuring and negotiating with subcontractors, assist with scheduling, and help in ensuring that these jobs become profitable for the company, and thus yourself.
This is a build-and-grow seat. You will start as a high-volume prospector, but the founder will personally coach you toward becoming a true business developer over time — someone who understands the commercial buying process and can build lasting relationships with recurring accounts.
Responsibilities
~1 min readOutbound Prospecting & Cold Calling
- →Run high-volume outbound calls from our existing database of commercial leads
- →Identify and reach the right decision-makers: asset/facility managers, owners, developers, and facilities/procurement contacts
- →Qualify prospects and set appointments or hand off warm opportunities to sales management
- →Hit daily call and activity quotas
LinkedIn & Social Selling, Pre-Qualification Forms
- →Build and maintain a professional, U.S.-positioned (Atlanta-based) LinkedIn presence, with guidance and setup support from the founder
- →Research target accounts and connect with decision-makers
- →Run structured outreach and follow-up sequences
- →Nurture longer-term prospects toward a conversation
- →Fill out pre-qualification forms for companies determined by the owners and employee
Pipeline & Activity Management
- →Track prospects through a sales cycle that averages roughly 60 days (ranging from under a week to a few months)
- →Log calls, notes, and outcomes accurately
- →Report daily metrics: calls made, contacts reached, appointments set
- →Run takeoffs/measurements for projects
- →Source subcontractors, manage schedules/calendars
Relationship Development (over time)
- →Learn the commercial paving buying process
- →Graduate from appointment-setting toward consultative business development
- →Build rapport with recurring and preferred-vendor accounts
Requirements
~1 min read- Clear, neutral English with a strong phone presence and a professional, American-neutral accent
- Proven outbound experience: cold calling, telemarketing, or SDR work (B2B strongly preferred)
- High resilience to rejection and a genuine drive to earn through commission
- Willingness to build and operate a U.S.-positioned LinkedIn profile for outreach
- Availability across U.S. Eastern hours, including a willingness to work into the late afternoon / early evening ET
- Reliable home office setup: quiet space, quality headset, stable high-speed internet
- Self-directed, coachable, and comfortable working to daily quotas
- Experience selling into construction, real estate, property management, facilities, or home/commercial services
- Familiarity with CRM tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Track record setting appointments into longer B2B sales cycles
- Ability to read and decipher site plans
You are:
- Coachable and hungry — you treat the base salary as a floor, not a ceiling, because you understand the real money is in the commission and the growth path
- Thick-skinned — you can hear "no" fifty times and stay sharp for the next dial
- Personable on the phone — you build quick rapport and sound like someone a U.S. real estate or construction manager wants to talk to
- Ambitious — you don't want to be a dialer forever; you want to learn the business and grow into a real business developer
- Reliable and self-managed — you show up, hit your numbers, and don't need someone standing over you to stay productive
