Sales Representative - 21061
Quick Summary
Inbound Lead Ownership: Take complete ownership of 100% of inbound residential and interior designer leads, ensuring zero pipeline leakage.
Role: Account Executive
Priority Location: South Africa & Phillipines
Working Hours: 8AM - 5PM US Hours (EST/CST)
Start Date: September 9th
Salary Range: $1,500 to $2,000
Type of contract: Full-Time
Type of job: Remote
About the Company:
Our client is a 45-year-old, family-run custom furniture manufacturer based in Canton, Massachusetts. Founded in 1982, our client serves residential, interior design, commercial, and enterprise clients. The company operates across three segments: Standard (inbound residential and interior designer accounts), Enterprise (hospitality, venues, and large commercial projects), and Products (an early-stage e-commerce custom cushion line). Supported by operational leadership in Boston and global growth leadership in Milan, Italy, the company combines heritage craft with an expanding global sales footprint.
Job Summary:
The Account Executive (AE) will take 100% ownership of inbound designer and residential sales for our client’s Standard segment. As a sales-first operator, the AE will be responsible for rapid lead response, rigorous pipeline hygiene, persistent follow-up, and reactivating dormant designer relationships. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset—someone who brings strategy, tests conversion tactics, and drives speed to response. By taking full command of the Standard pipeline, the AE enables the company’s global sales leadership to pivot heavily toward growing the Enterprise segment.
Requirements:
- Inbound Lead Ownership: Take complete ownership of 100% of inbound residential and interior designer leads, ensuring zero pipeline leakage.
- Rapid Response Cadence: Respond to every inbound lead within 30 minutes during working hours (and within 4 hours outside working hours), prioritizing phone outreach for immediate contact.
- Relentless Follow-Up & Qualification: Work every lead through phone, email, and text until reaching a definitive "yes" or "no". Cleanly disqualify ghosted prospects to keep pipeline stage data accurate.
- CRM Management: Maintain the custom-built CRM as the single source of truth, enforcing strict stage entrance and exit criteria.
- Designer Reactivation & Account Management: Establish a monthly check-in cadence with past designer clients and execute targeted 9-word reactivation campaigns to dormant contacts.
- Pipeline & Close Rate Reporting: Track, analyze, and report weekly pipeline metrics, aging, accrual revenue, and overall close rates directly to executive leadership.
- Strategic Collaboration: Act as a thought partner to sales leadership, bringing proactive ideas, market feedback, and competitor intelligence to optimize conversion.
- Operational Coordination: Communicate closely with the Boston production and operations team to ensure quoted lead times align with current workshop capacity.
- Targeted Outbound: Conduct warm outbound touches to existing designer networks only when the inbound pipeline is fully worked (targeting a 75/25 inbound-to-outbound ratio).
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an Account Executive or similar role.
- Skills:
- Experience: Proven track record in an Account Executive or closing sales role. Demonstrated success in owning a pipeline, maintaining high call volumes, and driving multi-touch follow-up discipline.
- Sales-First Mindset: Deep understanding of qualification, pipeline velocity, objection handling, and closing tactics (sales track record is a strict requirement; design background is secondary and can be taught).
- Communication & Charm: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; highly engaging, persuasive, and persistent over the phone.
- CRM Discipline: Strong experience working with structured CRMs (e.g., Pipedrive, HubSpot) and strict adherence to data integrity.
- Entrepreneurial & Proactive: Highly self-motivated remote operator who takes initiative, tests new strategies, and requires zero hand-holding.
- Product Adaptability: Ability to quickly master custom product lines, specifications, and pricing structures to issue accurate quotes.
