Responsibilities

  • Hunter mentality to negotiate complex deals as a direct seller

  • Meet or exceed sales and profitability quotas on a quarterly and annual basis

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, thoughtful engagement of customers/prospects, and resource utilization against any leads

  • Participate in/advice on new go-to-market solutions and messaging

  • Craft and deliver account plans for prospective clients through telephone, email, video meetings, and all other available methods

  • Work with relevant Directors to develop client offers, proposals, and presentations — ultimately setting relationships and engagements up for long-term success

  • Manage the overall relationship and communication with key client(s) and have full command of their business model, web development needs, and how our client may deliver value

  • Develop and manage key selling relationships to drive new business and ensure proper communication on account delivery

  • Conduct outbound prospecting to net new target accounts

  • Expertly drive a complex, consultative sales process from beginning to end

  • Build rapport and uncover true pain points to align services for client success

  • Contribute to compelling propositions and the vision for each opportunity

  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan, identifying key stakeholders, need development, and strategic approach

  • Eagerness to learn, coach, and be coached within an AE team

  • Experience selling to Marketing Departments, Directors, VPs, and C-Level executives

  • Confidently and tactfully challenge a prospect’s way of thinking to build value

  • Experience selling technology solutions: web, SaaS, eCommerce, IT, cloud services, etc.

  • Thrive in a remote environment

  • Educate, influence, and deliver compelling sales presentations/demos

  • Prepare and submit activity reports, pipeline forecasts, and conversion rates


  • Hunter & closer mentality

  • Successful track record of achieving and exceeding revenue objectives in complex solution environments

  • Be a top sales executive within current/previous teams

  • 5+ years owning a consultative sales process

  • 3+ years closing complex negotiations

  • Experience crafting and executing plans to close small to mid-size web development projects

  • Success selling complex, multi-faceted web development projects into matrixed organizations

  • Knowledge of/experience with structured sales methodologies

  • Deep knowledge of digital development/website landscapes

  • Strong verbal, written communication, and listening skills

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Coachable and growth-oriented

  • Able to use rejection as a learning tool

  • Sales experience in small companies or startups

  • Ability to position yourself as an expert across the digital/web landscape

  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and team-building skills

  • Comfort leading complex pursuits involving many disciplines
