Role: Travel Sales Specialist
Location: South Africa, Latin America, or Philippines (Fully Remote)
Compensation: $1,600/month USD + commissions
Schedule: US Business Hours
About the client
Our client is a global travel consultancy that operates at the cutting edge of the "Points Economy." This is not a role for a traditional travel agent; it is a position for a points aficionado who views travel through the lens of value maximization and system arbitrage.
We are looking for a specialist who understands that the real currency of modern luxury travel isn't just cash, it's the sophisticated movement of points from US banking ecosystems into high-value airline and hotel inventory.
About the role
As a Travel Sales Specialist, you will act as a high-level consultant for global clients. You won't just book trips; you will architect travel solutions by navigating complex reward systems to unlock "impossible" value. You must be someone who finds genuine professional joy in finding the perfect transfer sweet spot or the highest-yielding arbitrage opportunity.
About the Role
As a Travel Sales Specialist, you will be the bridge between the client's inventory of points and miles and the travel agents and brokers who need them. Your day-to-day will be a mix of fulfillment and soft sales: receiving requests, executing bookings, facilitating point transfers, and providing access to airline and hotel mile accounts, all while managing multiple priorities and delivering a high level of service.
This is not a passive support role. You need to be sharp, responsive, and commercially minded.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and fulfill requests from travel agents and brokers, including flight and hotel bookings, point transfers, and account access.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with travel agents and brokers throughout the fulfillment process.
- Demonstrate a soft sales approach, identifying opportunities to add value and build strong ongoing relationships with agents and brokers.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across all transactions and account management tasks.
- Stay familiar with the points and miles landscape to understand the nature of the transactions you're facilitating.
What We're Looking For
- Background in travel, whether as a travel consultant, corporate travel agent, OTA specialist, or similar. You understand how bookings work and how the industry operates.
- Familiarity with points, miles, and loyalty programs, you don't need to be a master strategist, but you need to understand how credit card rewards, transfers, and redemptions work at a functional level.
- Strong multitasker, you can juggle several open requests at once without dropping the ball.
- Excellent communicator, written and verbal English must be clear, professional, and client-ready.
- Commercially driven, you take pride in getting things done and going the extra mile for the agents and brokers you serve.
- Reliable and committed, this team moves fast and consistency matters.
Why This Role?
If you come from a travel background, enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and have a genuine interest in the points and miles world, this is a unique opportunity to join a company operating in a growing and specialized niche. The role offers a competitive base salary plus commissions, full remote flexibility, and the chance to become an expert in one of the most exciting corners of the travel industry.
