Midwest based well construction firm is seeking a sales representative to support water municipalities across Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. This is a combination of a hunter/farmer role

This isn't a cold-start role. The group has an established client base with references from various locations amongst those states.

  • You focus on relationships and deals. The group handles technical heavy lifting.
  • Leadership is active in the field — not just behind a desk.
  • You'll be stepping into a territory with momentum, not starting from scratch.
  • Tenured, deep experience management able to help you close sales
  • Excellent compensation package—base salaries start at 120k + for the right candidate

Responsibilities

  • Building and deepening relationships with municipal water system operators, procurement officials, and key stakeholders
  • Managing consultative, long-cycle sales aligned to municipal budget calendars
  • Navigating public-sector procurement — including consulting engineers and gatekeepers
  • Tracking pipeline activity and driving territory growth
  • Proven experience in municipal water supply or waterworks sales
  • Existing relationships within the Midwest municipal water community
  • Consultative selling approach — you ask good questions and help customers find the right solution
  • Comfort working independently in a field-based role
  • Group is open to transitional sales professionals (construction, manufacturing, etc.)—as long as there is experience prospecting into municipalities within the listed states

The timing is right. Municipal budget cycles in our territory are getting underway — now is the moment to be building pipeline.

Please note the practice is open to hiring in the NJ/NY area for an identical role in that region.
