TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods is looking for a hunter—a sales professional who thrives on prospecting, building pipeline, and closing new logos with major agricultural enterprises.

Your territory is the Southeast US. This is a prime agricultural market—a region dense with major farms, cooperatives, input suppliers, equipment manufacturers, food processing companies, and Fortune 500 enterprises navigating digital transformation. These customers are actively seeking trusted partners who understand their challenges and can position solutions that drive measurable results in Agronomy, Program Execution, and Supply Chain.

If you love the hunt, you're energized by opening new logos with enterprise customers, you thrive with autonomy and clear ownership, and you understand that enterprise deals require consultative partnership and relationship-building with C-suite decision-makers, this role is built for you.

You'll join a team driven by three core values:

  • We passionately put our customers and communities first.
  • We embrace change and innovate courageously.
  • We grow together through spirited teamwork.

You own the Southeast Territory entirely. Your primary focus is net-new logo development—prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities with major agricultural enterprises and industry-leading companies. You'll manage existing customer relationships in your region as needed to support your team and customer success, but hunting new business is where you drive your results and earnings.

  • You're a hunter first—you excel at prospecting through cold calls, networking, trade shows, online research, and strategic outreach. You don't wait for leads; you build your own pipeline with discipline and consistency
  • You're consultative and strategic—you understand that enterprise agriculture deals require understanding customer priorities, business challenges, and positioning solutions aligned with their strategic objectives
  • You work with autonomy and entrepreneurial mindset—you take ownership of your territory results and drive your own success without micromanagement
  • You're energized by closing deals, particularly large ones with major enterprises, and you take pride in your closing ability
  • You leverage internal resources strategically—subject matter experts, coaches, and other TELUS sales teams collaborate with you when appropriate, but you own the sales process and the relationship
  • You have grit and resilience—enterprise sales cycles are long (12–24 months), and you stay committed, focused, and prospecting consistently to maintain pipeline momentum
  • Own your territory and drive net-new logo development—prospecting, pipeline building, opportunity qualification, and closing
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with major agricultural enterprises, industry-leading companies, and growth accounts that expand TELUS' footprint in the South
  • Build compelling business cases that articulate TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods solutions and demonstrate clear value aligned with customer business objectives
  • Develop trusted relationships with C-Suite and senior decision-makers, positioning yourself as a strategic advisor who understands their business
  • Negotiate contracts with confidence and close deals through consultative partnership
  • Manage your pipeline with discipline using Salesforce—track opportunities, forecast accurately, and maintain closing momentum
  • Collaborate with Agronomy Solution Architects, Supply Chain Specialists, Program Execution Coaches, and other TELUS sales teams across agriculture, animal agriculture, and CPG solutions when appropriate to support complex deals and ensure customer success
  • Support existing customer relationships in your territory as needed to enable your team and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate key sales competencies: Business Acumen, Critical Thinking, Customer Focus, Grit (energy and drive), and Collaboration

Enterprise agriculture deals vary in length—ranging from 12–24 months depending on opportunity size, customer complexity, and buying process. Success requires building a balanced pipeline with a mix of opportunity sizes and solution offerings at different stages of progression. You'll actively manage each opportunity to move it forward through key milestones, keep deals on track, and maintain consistent closing velocity. A strong funnel has early-stage opportunities, mid-stage deals progressing toward close, and near-term closes happening regularly. This approach ensures you're hitting targets while building the long-term relationships that fuel future growth.
