About the Role
~1 min readThe Executive Assistant provides comprehensive executive support to the Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Health (DVCH) and other senior leaders within the Health Office. As the University’s largest academic portfolio, Health encompasses significant scale and complexity, requiring the Executive Assistant to exercise sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Operating in a dynamic and high-pressure environment, the Executive Assistant manages a complex workload with a high degree of autonomy while ensuring the DVCH’s commitments remain well coordinated. The role demands a high level of organisation, initiative, and the flexibility to adapt rapidly to emerging priorities and circumstances.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage the DVCH’s office interface, ensuring prioritised, timely, and professional handling of all internal and external enquiries.
- →Ensure the DVCH is fully prepared for engagements through proactive briefing coordination and forward planning.
- →Plan and coordinate engagements and events, delivering effective logistics, and strong stakeholder coordination.
- →Display a high level of initiative and engage proactively with Health staff to facilitate coordinated support.
- →Participate in regular coordination meetings, contribute to annual planning cycles, escalate complex matters appropriately, and support integrated stakeholder management activities.
- Extensive experience providing high-level executive support in a complex organisation.
- Highly developed communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal) with the ability to engage professionally and effectively with colleagues, students, members of the public, professional bodies, and a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with senior leaders, academic staff, and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient operations and communication flow.
- Experience and effectiveness in implementing policies and procedures and identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Capacity and willingness to have a flexible approach to work and tasks and ability work independently, with initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $105,665 comprising base salary within the range of $80,869 to $90,312 plus 17% superannuation.
