Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) powers the industries of today and tomorrow by connecting the people with big ideas to the manufacturers who can bring them to life. Xometry’s digital marketplace gives manufacturers the critical resources they need to grow their business while also making it easy for buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to tap into global manufacturing capacity.

Xometry is seeking a strategic and results-driven Partner Manager to lead our Partner RFQ (Request for Quote) initiative within the Procurement Excellence team. This role is instrumental in managing a curated portfolio of manufacturing partners who compete for strategic, pre-sourced opportunities that drive significant value for Xometry's customers.

As Partner Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships with hand-selected, pre-vetted partners who operate through our Partner RFQ process. You'll work with partners to understand their capabilities, concerns, and feedback while driving continuous improvement in our Partner RFQ platform. Through quarterly business reviews and strategic communication, you'll ensure partners are engaged, performing, and contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional outcomes for Xometry and our customers.

  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with a portfolio of pre-vetted manufacturing partners who participate in our Partner RFQ program (either exclusive Partner RFQ or hybrid Job Board/Partner RFQ partners)
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, understanding their business goals, manufacturing capabilities, and challenges
  • Proactively identify and address partner concerns related to bid opportunities, lead times, pricing, and support
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with all partners in your portfolio to assess performance against key metrics
  • Track and present bid rates (opportunities received vs. bids submitted) and win rates (bids submitted vs. orders won) for each partner
  • Discuss quality, delivery, and collaboration metrics to identify trends and opportunities
  • Gather feedback on pricing, turnaround times, and Partner RFQ program experience
  • Collect and synthesize partner feedback on the Partner RFQ platform, process, and experience
  • Relay actionable insights to internal stakeholders to drive improvements in bid quality, lead times, and overall Partner RFQ program effectiveness
  • Partner with product and operations teams to test improvements and validate that changes address partner needs
  • Monitor partner performance against established KPIs including bid participation rate, win rate, quality, and on-time delivery
  • Identify underperforming partners and develop action plans to improve performance or evaluate fit within the program
  • Support partner capability expansion by identifying skill gaps and connecting partners with resources or training opportunities
  • Collaborate on strategic account growth, helping high-performing partners increase engagement and order volume
  • Bachelor's degree required (Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred)
  • 5+ years of direct experience working with machine shops and manufacturing partners (required) — experience managing relationships, understanding capabilities, or working in a machine shop environment
  • Deep understanding of machine shop operations, capabilities, and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, tolerances, material selection, post machining processing, etc.)
  • Engineering background or technical manufacturing knowledge is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with external manufacturing stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and metrics interpretation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence across functions
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, Excel, and business analytics tools
  • Ability to travel 15-20% for partner on-site visits and collaboration
