Quality Controls, a UFT company is a representative and stocking distributor of flow control equipment, process equipment and process instrumentation. We maintain a large inventory of valves, gates, actuators and instrumentation to meet our customers’ demanding requirements.

The Outside Sales Specialist position is an outside sales role requiring you to meet and be comfortable conversing with consultants, treatment plant-level personnel and contractors. Plant level or direct sales activities require in-person consultation, demonstration, and problem-solving skills.

Expand existing relationships with end users, contractors, and engineers while building lasting relationships with new accounts.

Provide engineers and end users a professional level of product promotion/selection, support and follow up to ensure projects are successful and to maximize sales revenue.

Travel within assigned sales territory.

Be self-motivated to set up meetings, product promotion events, and relationship building activities to maintain frequent contact with your customer base.

Attend product training seminars and participate in local industry associations and trade shows.

Travel to represented (manufacturer) companies for training on an as-needed basis.

Work with end-users with a hands-on approach. This may entail assisting with commissioning new equipment.

Work with the inside sales staff to provide a managerial role for projects and the management thereof.

Provide monthly sales reporting including forecasting and insights to current bid activity.

3+ years of outside sales experience. Experience selling mechanical equipment like valves, actuators, and pumps desired.

Water/ wastewater experience required.

Exceptional communication skills; both verbal and written.

Valid US Driver License

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.

The ability to travel overnight up to 20%.

Great organizational and relationship skills.

Proficient with Microsoft 365 and familiar with CRM systems.

$100-130K base +uncapped commission - Pay will depend on education, experience, skills, and location. The posted range reflects our current expectations but may change.
