Abbott Diabetes Care is looking for a senior commercial leader to drive growth, innovation and market leadership across Portugal and Israel. This role offers the opportunity to shape strategy, lead high‑performing teams and operate in a complex, multi‑country healthcare environment.
Responsibilities

Own and execute the commercial strategy for Portugal and Israel, aligned with the West Region Europe strategy

Drive sustainable growth and market leadership in the Blood Glucose Monitoring portfolio

Lead commercial planning, forecasting and full budget ownership
- →
Translate market, competitive and customer insights into clear, actionable strategies
- →
Lead product launches and portfolio management decisions
- →
Build strong cross‑functional alignment with regional and global teams
- →
Lead, coach and develop Regional Sales Managers
- →
Support distributor management in Israel and regional expansion initiatives
Requirements
~1 min read8–10 years of experience in commercial and/or marketing leadership roles
Proven experience in medical devices, life sciences or the healthcare industry
Demonstrated success operating in multinational, multi‑country environments
Experience managing full product life cycles and leading change initiatives
Fluency in Portuguese and English
Willingness to travel internationally
Valid driving licence
Strong strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into decisions
Experience translating insights into commercial and go‑to‑market strategies
Strong leadership, coaching and people‑development skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies
Spanish language skills are a plus
