If you’re looking for a role where you can learn, grow and build a long-term career in sales, this is a great place to start.

As a Business Development Executive, you’ll manage a varied customer portfolio across North Canberra and Yass, Goulburn and Marulan. Rather than working within one narrow channel, you’ll gain exposure to different customers and commercial environments, potentially spanning cafes and restaurants, petrol and convenience, away from home, coffee and liquor.

You’ll build trusted customer relationships, identify opportunities and develop from great service into broader account management and commercial conversations. You’ll have plenty of ownership over how you plan your territory and your week, backed by an experienced local team

Most importantly, we see this as an opportunity to build capability for the future. You’ll broaden your understanding of customers, channels and account management while developing skills that can support future opportunities within a large global business.

Responsibilities

~1 min read
  • →Manage and develop a mixed portfolio of customers across your territory.
  • →Plan your field week and customer call cycle, balancing priorities and follow-up.
  • →Build strong, trusted relationships with customers.
  • →Identify practical opportunities to grow accounts and create value.
  • →Develop your influencing and commercial skills as you take greater ownership of the account management process.
  • →Learn different customer channels and adapt your approach to what each customer needs.
  • →Work autonomously in the field while contributing to a connected and experienced local team.
  • →Adapt as the new operating model and territory design continue to evolve.

You’ll bring:

  • →Strong organisation and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • →Initiative, resilience and a genuine willingness to learn.
  • →Confidence building relationships and influencing customers.
  • →Curiosity and an appetite to learn unfamiliar products and channels.
  • →The ability to work independently while remaining part of a close team.
  • →Comfort spending plenty of time on the road across Canberra and regional NSW.
  • →A current Australian driver licence

You don’t necessarily need to come from FMCG field sales.

We’re interested in people with strong customer-facing experience from sales, retail, hospitality or service who are ready to build the next stage of their career. Previous FMCG, territory or account management experience would be valuable, but strong transferable experience is absolutely worth bringing to the conversation

If you’ve built those foundations in retail, hospitality, customer service or another customer-facing environment and are wondering “what could I do next?”, this could be that step.

At Asahi Beverages, we're passionate about crafting more than just drinks - we craft moments of connection, celebration, and shared enjoyment. We bring together a diverse portfolio of iconic beverage brands, a commitment to quality, and a drive to constantly innovate.  Headquartered in Melbourne and with facilities right across Australia and New Zealand, you’ll find Asahi is a place where talent is nurtured, and ambition is rewarded. If you’re ready to toast your future, we’re ready to meet you.
