Nursing Administrative Assistants provide clerical support to our nursing teams. Your efforts will help ensure efficient operations and contribute to the exceptional care provided to patients and residents.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Greeting and assisting visitors, residents, and staff in person and over the phone
- →Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation
- →Maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident and/or staff records and charts
- →Scheduling appointments and arranging meetings
- →Assisting with data entry, filing, and maintaining inventory of office supplies
- →Collaborating with the healthcare team to facilitate smooth operations
- →May support general nursing, MDS, Case Management, Scheduling or other functional areas

Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Additional certification or coursework in office administration is a plus
- May require experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and in specific functional areas in a long-term care setting
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Patience and the ability to relate tactfully with staff, residents, family, etc.
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
- Strong organizational skills and ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communications, including proficiency in the English language and grammar
- Proficiency in office software and basic computer skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare setting
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
