Help Keep the Workplace Running Smoothly

At Fibersmith, we rely on organized, safe, and well-maintained workspaces to help our teams do their best work. We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Facilities Coordinator who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, notices when something needs attention, and is willing to jump in to fix, organize, coordinate, or improve whatever the day brings. From basic repairs and office setup to vendor coordination and safety checks, you’ll play an important role in keeping our offices functional, clean, safe, and ready for business.

Position Overview

The Facilities Coordinator supports the day-to-day upkeep and operation of Fibersmith’s facilities. This includes routine maintenance, workspace organization, supply and inventory management, minor repairs, vendor coordination, and general building support.

The ideal candidate is proactive, practical, organized, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves. You don’t need to be an expert in every trade, but you should be resourceful, safety-minded, and willing to help solve problems as they come up.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities may include:

  • Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs, such as lighting, small fixtures, furniture, paint touch-ups, minor plumbing issues, and general upkeep
  • Coordinating with outside vendors for larger repairs or services, including HVAC, electrical, cleaning, landscaping, and other facility needs
  • Managing facility supplies, tools, and inventory to ensure items are stocked, organized, and in good working condition
  • Supporting office and workspace setup, including furniture assembly, office moves, workstation setup, and layout adjustments
  • Helping maintain cleanliness and organization in common areas, storage rooms, warehouse spaces, and other shared work areas
  • Monitoring facility safety items, including fire extinguishers, exits, signage, and potential hazards
  • Reporting facility concerns, hazards, repair needs, or safety issues promptly
  • Assisting with equipment deliveries, shipping and receiving, and general building logistics
  • Tracking and scheduling preventative maintenance activities as needed
  • Responding to facility-related requests from staff in a timely, helpful, and professional manner
  • Supporting other facility, maintenance, or operational tasks as assigned

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and comfortable balancing hands-on work with coordination and follow-through. The right person will take ownership of small details before they become bigger problems.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Basic knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and workplace safety standards
  • Comfortable using basic tools and handling small repairs or physical tasks
  • Dependable, proactive, and willing to help wherever needed
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Required Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in facilities, maintenance, construction, warehouse support, or a related role preferred
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on-site and move throughout office, storage, and warehouse areas as needed

Why This Role Matters

A well-run workplace does not happen by accident. The Facilities Coordinator helps create a safe, organized, and functional environment for everyone at Fibersmith. If you like hands-on work, variety in your day, and being the person who helps keep things moving, this could be a great fit.
