What you Bring to the Table:
- 3+ years of proactive group sales experience at a full-service or convention hotel, Marriott brand experience preferred
- Proven prospecting habits: outbound calls, solicitation blitzes, sales trips, and tradeshows, with a record of meeting or beating room night and revenue goals
- Existing relationships with Midwest meeting planners, associations, SMERF groups, and third-party intermediaries
- Proficiency in Marriott CI/TY and Cvent lead management highly preferred
- Experience managing a defined geographic territory and building a proactive outreach pipeline within that market
- Strong negotiation and contracting: rate, space, and concessions within Marriott's Library of Clauses, plus business evaluations when quoting below the rate floor
- Self-directed enough to work remotely: plans own deployment calendar, hits weekly activity goals, and reports pace without being chased
