The Legal Department is responsible for handling all of the legal needs for the teams and businesses within the Fenway Sports Group (“FSG”) portfolio, including the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Sports Management, NESN, the Pittsburgh Penguins, SportsNet Pittsburgh, the Liverpool Football Club, Boston Common Golf, FSG Real Estate and the Red Sox Foundation. 

 The Legal Department handles a broad range of corporate and legal matters related to the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Sports Management, NESN, SportsNet Pittsburgh, and Boston Common Golf. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to legal team members across a variety of administrative, operational, and project-based responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgment, and manages confidential information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

The base salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000 based on relevant experience. Additionally, this position qualifies for annual incentive pay along with our comprehensive benefits package.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, and expense reports for legal team members.
  • Manage and optimize attorneys’ calendars, including internal and external meetings, board commitments, and industry events.
  • Support intern onboarding and assist with administrative coordination for departmental staffing needs.
  • Prepare, organize, and distribute materials for meetings, presentations, and other department activities as needed.
  • Manage DocuSign requests and help ensure timely execution and tracking of documents.
  • Maintain and safeguard sensitive and confidential information across strategic and operational activities.
  • Facilitate department ticket requests and coordinate related logistics.
  • Sort and distribute department mail and support general office administration.
  • Assist with annual report filings and annual law firm audit inquiries.
  • Manage subscriptions and licensure renewals for attorneys.
  • Manage the company’s document management system, including workspace organization, document filing, and audits.
  • Manage requests for certificates of insurance and provide administrative support for insurance-related matters.
  • Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of administrative experience, ideally in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Experience supporting legal, executive, or other professional teams is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, judgment, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with a legal document management system preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
