Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):

Spry Methods is seeking a highly organized, proactive Executive Assistant / Scheduler to support the Director, Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4), Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) at the Pentagon.

This role operates at the center of Marine Corps enterprise decision-making, directly enabling a senior executive leader by managing time, priorities, and operational rhythm. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-tempo, high-visibility environment and brings experience supporting DoD SES or Flag/General Officers.
You will serve as a trusted front-office partner responsible for ensuring the Director’s time, engagements, and office operations are executed with precision.

Executive Scheduling & Calendar Management
  • Manage and deconflict a complex, high-visibility calendar, coordinating engagements across HQMC, DoD, Joint Staff, and external stakeholders
  • Develop daily/weekly schedule products (day cards, read-aheads, forecast schedules)
  • Prioritize competing requirements and ensure leadership is fully prepared for each engagement
  • Meeting & Engagement Support
    • Coordinate and execute meetings, briefings, and events, including:
      • Agenda development and logistics
      • Read-ahead materials and briefing books
      • Secure spaces, AV, and visitor access
      • Track actions, taskers, and follow-ups to completion
      • Prepare and quality-check executive correspondence, memos, and briefing materials
      • Travel Coordination (DTS)
        • Plan and manage CONUS and OCONUS travel using the Defense Travel System (DTS)
        • Build detailed itineraries and trip books
        • Coordinate last-minute changes and ensure compliance with travel regulations
        • Front Office & Administrative Operations
          • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
          • Manage office workflow, communications, and tasking systems (e.g., TMT/CATMS)
          • Coordinate visit requests, clearances, and escort requirements
          • Maintain organized records, files, and executive documentation
          • Office Management & Daily Operations
            • Support day-to-day office operations including:
              • Supply management and workspace coordination
              • Security and access procedures
              • Coordination across HQMC staff sections
              • Enable smooth execution of the Director’s operational priorities
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • 3–7+ years of experience supporting senior leadership in a DoD or Federal environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting SES, Flag, or General Officers
  • Advanced experience with:
    • Executive calendar management and scheduling
    • Defense Travel System (DTS)
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams)
    • Strong understanding of DoD administrative, correspondence, and security processes
    • Comfortable going into the office 5 days a week
  • Prior experience working in the Pentagon or HQMC
  • Familiarity with task management systems (TMT, CATMS, or similar)
  • Experience preparing executive-level briefing materials and read-aheads
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-demand executive environment
  • Strong judgment and ability to prioritize competing requirements
  • Professional presence and ability to interact with senior leaders
  • High level of discretion handling sensitive and classified information
  • Proactive, anticipatory mindset (stays ahead of the schedule, not behind it)
At Spry, we bring senior-level expertise and small business agility to mission-critical environments. Our teams operate directly alongside federal leadership, delivering results that matter—from HQMC enterprise operations to DoD-wide transformation efforts.

In this role, you won’t just manage a calendar—you will enable decision advantage at the highest levels of the Marine Corps.
