We are seeking a skilled Sr. Administrative Assistant to support the Investments team, which identifies and advances high-potential opportunities that help people realize their potential and contribute to Stand Together's vision. Through strategic partnerships and thoughtful stewardship of resources, the team takes a long-term, evidence-informed approach to investing in people, organizations, and ideas that create lasting value and drive meaningful change. In this role, you will serve as a trusted partner to four principals, creating the conditions that enable them and the broader team to operate effectively, focus on the highest-value opportunities, and advance strategic priorities.

Success in this role comes from anticipating needs, exercising sound judgment, and creating clarity amid competing priorities. You will leverage your organizational strengths, attention to detail, and proactive approach to coordinate complex schedules, manage administrative responsibilities, and facilitate seamless collaboration. By providing reliable, high-quality support, you will help the team maximize its contribution toward our shared vision.

The role will be based in person at our Ballston, VA office.  

  • Calendar management. Build and maintain a deep understanding of priorities to effectively allocate the leader's time. Prioritize a high volume of inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts for your team. Make judgements on time and recommendations grounded in strategic priorities to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements. 
  • Meeting preparation and follow up. Assemble meeting agendas, coordinate and track action items. 
  • Deep organizational knowledge. Possess in-depth knowledge of the organization’s operations, priorities, and key stakeholders to effectively provide strategic executive support. 
  • Cross-functional collaboration and team support. Partner with Administrative Professionals and internal teams to ensure seamless support during absences. Provide interim coverage as needed, quickly adapting to priorities and workflows while supporting organizational events in partnership with the Investments capability to coordinate logistics and ensure successful execution.
  • General administrative support. Book and coordinate travel, itineraries, and logistics, as well as process invoice payments, reconcile receipts, and expense reports on behalf of the leaders. 
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and innovate to improve administrative processes. Collaborate with internal and external Administrative Professionals to understand prioritization and make trade-offs. Identify and learn new tools and techniques to elevate the level of support and partnership the administrative team can provide.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a support or administrative capacity.
  • Professional manner and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and the ability to think ahead, problem solve, engage proactively, and take initiative.
  • Have a collaborative approach to work; give and receive feedback respectfully.
  • Ability to think strategically about the principal's time as an allocation of resources.
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, sense of judgment, and ability to improvise and creatively problem-solve while maintaining composure.
  • Ability to provide articulate and concise oral and written communications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook (including expertise with Outlook’s calendar function), and PowerPoint.

  • Proficiency with expense reporting software, such as Concur.
  • Experience supporting remote leaders across time zones.
