The Chief Revenue Officer is an enterprise-level leader accountable for pioneering and executing the organization's overarching commercial strategy, ensuring exponential and sustainable revenue acceleration for Angel City FC. This executive will architect the global commercial vision across partnerships, ticketing, and revenue operations. As the CRO, you will strategically blend high-impact, relationship-driven deal-making with rigorous data-driven performance management to leverage Angel City’s unique platform spanning sport, culture, and community, thereby maximizing long-term enterprise value.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Own and direct the overall enterprise revenue strategy, performance, and financial forecasting across all commercial streams, including sponsorship, ticketing, and emerging revenue opportunities.
- Establish and track critical enterprise performance metrics (e.g., revenue growth, retention, yield) to build a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous commercial optimization.
- Identify, incubate, and develop new, high-growth revenue streams, products, and commercial opportunities.
- Pioneer and execute the club's global partnership strategy, personally architecting, selling, and delivering creative, innovative, impactful, and award-winning 360 solutions and services to marquee commercial partners.
- Drive high-impact, category-defining deal-making by leveraging deep executive relationships and strategic alignment with Ownership and executive leadership.
- Develop innovative, non-traditional partnership models that maximize commercial impact and align with Angel City’s brand, purpose, and community-driven platform.
- Elevate the club’s commercial narrative and ensure a coordinated, high-touch approach across leadership for long-term enterprise value creation.
- Establish best-in-class activation strategies that deliver measurable impact for partners and profound fan engagement.
- Drive deep strategic alignment with Marketing leadership to seamlessly integrate fan acquisition, engagement, and growth strategies with revenue outcomes.
- Ensure optimal investment and ROI across all marketing and paid media efforts, providing a senior revenue lens on audience and channel performance.
- Own the club's ticketing business end-to-end, with accountability for revenue, yield, and sell-through across all segments — season tickets, groups, premium, and emerging products
- Define and evolve pricing, packaging, and inventory strategy to maximize revenue, manage scarcity, and optimize demand
- Build and lead a high-performing sales and service team, developing compelling ticket products and membership models that balance accessibility, premium value, and long-term fan loyalty
- Drive fan acquisition, retention, and lifetime value through data-driven segmentation, targeting, and lifecycle marketing
- Integrate ticketing into a broader fan revenue ecosystem — connecting marketing, partnerships, and in-venue experience — while identifying and growing premium revenue streams including suites, hospitality, and elevated fan experiences
- Serve as a key member of the executive team, helping shape overall business strategy and growth priorities.
- Build and lead high-performing, accountable teams across partnerships, ticketing, and revenue operations.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure enterprise-wide alignment on revenue goals and execution.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high-performance accountability.
- Represent Angel City FC as a senior executive at industry events, partner summits, and key forums.
- Serve as a preeminent thought leader in modern sports monetization and purpose-driven partnerships.
- Build and cultivate high-level relationships across global brands, media platforms, and strategic partners to drive long-term growth.
Requirements
~1 min read- 15-20+ years of progressive executive leadership experience in driving sponsorship and partnership sales within sports, media, or high-growth adjacent industries.
- A commercial standard setter with a proven, exceptional track record of pioneering innovative solutions and delivering aggressive commercial performance and revenue targets.
- Deep experience collaborating with and presenting to Ownership/Board level, with a history of closing complex, multi-million dollar, category-defining deals.
- Expertise in enterprise P&L management and accountability.
- Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
