Our client is a venture-backed, pre-seed health-tech startup building AI referral infrastructure for healthcare, helping patients get from a primary or urgent care visit to the right specialist quickly and seamlessly. The platform is already deployed across dozens of urgent care locations and is being piloted with a major U.S. health system, with deep EMR integration work underpinning the product. The company is a small, fast-moving team in a market that has long lacked a coordinated referral layer.
About the Role
~1 min readThis is the company's second sales hire, joining a sales team of one. The role starts almost entirely focused on outbound: cold calling and following up with leads already surfaced by the team's existing automated lead-generation system, built by the company's first sales hire. Roughly 80–90% of lead-finding work is already automated, so the role centers on human follow-through, calling and closing, rather than prospecting from scratch.
Scope will broaden and become more flexible as the team grows. The role is in-person at the company's San Francisco office, formally five days a week, though in practice the existing team works closer to seven.

- Manage email sequencing and follow-up outreach cadences
- Convert and follow up on leads already surfaced by the team's existing automated lead-generation system
