The Role


BGC is looking for a highly motivated and organized Office Administrator to join our Vancouver Team. The ideal candidate would be a self starter who values teamwork, takes initiative, and takes pride in their work. As an office-based team member, you will support day-to-day administrative operations and collaborate closely with administrative teammates across BGC. You will report to the Vancouver Admin Team Lead and BGC’s Administrative Team Lead, and will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting environment alongside our Engineers, Geoscientists, and other BGC teams.

 

Responsibilities


  • Answer phones, greet visitors and vendors, and handle printing, binding, and scanning
  • Coordinate with building management and vendors to address maintenance, repairs, and security needs
  • Manage and track domestic and international shipments
  • Organize catering for meetings and office events
  • Maintain office organization, equipment, and supplies inventory
  • Prepare meeting rooms and set up audio-visual equipment
  • Arrange travel and accommodations for staff and clients
  • Lead new hire onboarding logistics, including workspace setup
  • Plan and support office events and team meetings
  • Perform other tasks as required to support office operations

 

Required Education, Experience & Competencies


  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in administration
  • Demonstrate initiative and work proactively
  • Adapt quickly and manage changing priorities effectively
  • Organize work, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Use Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat confidently; Canva is an asset
  • Learn new systems and tools quickly
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Work independently and stay accountable for results
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive office culture
  • Experience in the hospitality or professional services industry is an asset

Compensation


The estimated base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 CAD per annum, however base pay will be commensurate with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. BGC's compensation package also includes a discretionary bonus plan, training allowance, and comprehensive medical and dental plan.
