Job Title: Facilities Assistant

Position Summary:

The Facilities Assistant provides support to Supervisors and Managers by performing simple day-to-day maintenance and driving tasks for the department. The Assistant’s duties involve very basic “hands-on” work in the facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work in conjunction with Facilities Manager and Supervisor to ensure that adequate supplies and materials, such as drinking water, copier and mail-related supplies are on hand or readily available to allow smooth operation and proper maintenance to be undertaken.
• Maintain records of work performed.
• Coordinate needs with Facility Manager.
• Handle employee and department’s office supply orders.
• Compliance with Convey security policies.
• Comply with Convey safety policies.
• Provide reception/security desk duties.
• Responsible for couriering mail from post office box to multiple Convey sites and back to post office.
• Ensure central mailroom has adequate mailing supplies for monthly invoice processing.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Applicant must be able to use Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Position requires reading, writing and basic comprehension of English as well as Math skills.

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

• Ability to plan and maintain accurate work records.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to generate a report of user statistics for facilities requests.

This is a temp assignment targeted for 5 Months with an hourly rate range of: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
