  • →Drive new business: Identify and engage prospective corporate clients, build a strong new-logo pipeline and turn conversations into qualified opportunities and revenue.
  • →Own client relationships: Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, taking responsibility for renewals, retention and long-term account growth.
  • →Become a trusted commercial partner: Understand each client’s sustainability, climate and business priorities and help them identify the MSCI solutions that can best address their needs.
  • →Grow existing accounts: Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through cross-selling and upselling across MSCI’s Sustainability & Climate solutions.
  • →Build and manage your pipeline: Maintain a disciplined sales process and work toward clear new-business, renewal and retention goals.
  • →Collaborate across MSCI: Partner closely with Sales, Client Service, Marketing, Product, Legal and Finance to develop opportunities, support clients and close business.
  • →Bring the voice of the client into MSCI: Share client feedback, market trends and competitive insights with Product and commercial leadership to help shape our strategy.

This is an opportunity to combine commercial strategy, relationship management and new business development with one of the most important topics shaping companies and capital markets today: sustainability and climate risk.

MSCI’s Sustainability & Climate team works with leading companies to help them understand how sustainability and climate considerations are influencing investors, indexes and capital markets. Through MSCI’s industry-leading data, research, ratings and analytics, we help corporate clients better understand their performance, anticipate emerging risks and opportunities, and respond to changing investor and stakeholder expectations.

An increasingly important part of this work is physical climate risk. Our solutions help companies understand how climate hazards — such as extreme heat, flooding, wildfires and other events — could affect their physical assets and operations. These insights help clients identify vulnerabilities, manage operational risk and build more resilient businesses.

Based in Mexico City or Monterrey, you’ll join MSCI’s commercial team and play a key role in growing our Sustainability & Climate business with corporate clients.

This is a dynamic sales role that combines new business development with ownership and growth of existing client relationships.

You’ll prospect and engage new corporate clients, build a strong pipeline, develop opportunities and convert them into revenue. At the same time, you’ll manage a portfolio of existing clients, helping drive renewals, retention and account growth.

You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with companies, understand their sustainability and climate priorities, and connect those challenges with MSCI’s data, research and analytics.

You’ll be joining a growing area of MSCI at the intersection of sales, sustainability, climate risk and global capital markets. It’s an opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships and winning new business, but who also wants to sell sophisticated solutions that help companies tackle increasingly important business challenges.

If you’re commercially driven, curious, comfortable building relationships with corporate clients and excited by the opportunity to develop expertise in sustainability and climate solutions, this could be a great next step.

We’re looking for a commercially driven, relationship-oriented professional who combines strong sales capabilities with a solid understanding of financial markets and indexes.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • At least 5–8+ years of commercial experience in sales, account management, business development or a related role, ideally within financial services, financial information, indexes, data, analytics, SaaS or another subscription-based business.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • A strong financial markets background, with a good understanding of how investment products, capital markets and institutional investors operate.

  • Knowledge of indexes and index-related solutions, including an understanding of how indexes are constructed, used and applied across investment products and strategies. Previous experience working with index products, index data or index clients is highly valued.
  • A proven ability to generate new business and manage an active pipeline, working across multiple prospects and opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience managing and growing existing client relationships, including renewals, retention, cross-selling and upselling against revenue targets.
  • Strong commercial discipline, with the ability to effectively manage pipeline, priorities, follow-ups and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage with corporate stakeholders and translate complex financial or analytical concepts into clear business value.
  • A results-oriented and proactive mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume sales environment.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to partner effectively across Sales, Client Service, Marketing, Product, Legal and Finance.
  • Knowledge of or a demonstrated interest in sustainability, climate and physical climate risk is highly valued.

We’re looking for someone who brings together commercial strength, financial markets and index knowledge, and an interest in sustainability and climate solutions — someone who can build trusted client relationships while helping grow MSCI’s business in this evolving area.
