Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki is a rural, Iwi-based, not-for-profit, Hauora Māori organisation that has been providing medical, health and wellbeing, and community services across the Hauraki rohe and to the people of Hauraki since 1994. Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role:
Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki are seeking an experienced someone to provide high-level executive assistance and support to the Manukura Hauora (CEO). The role ensures the seamless coordination of administrative and strategic support to allow the Manukura Hauora to focus on leadership, decision-making and organisational priorities.
The Manu Tāiko will ensure that the time, information, and interactions of the Manukura Hauora are managed efficiently. The role will manage and provide oversight of the administration and calendar appointments for the Manukura Hauora, including coordinating meetings, arranging travel, preparing reports, presentations, briefings, and handling confidential information with the upmost discretion.
The successful candidate will support the team with organising events, assisting with human resource processes and supporting governance administration as required. Manu Tāiko will adopt a manaakitanga mindset to uplift and support the Manukura Hauora to operate at their best, while maintaining good relationships along the way.
This role is based in Thames but will work across the Hauraki rohe (Thames-Coromandel and Hauraki district council areas, plus components of Matamata-Piako district council). Ōu Mātatautanga | Your Key Capabilities
Key capabilities we’re looking for:
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ New Zealand work experience in an executive support role or have demonstrated through other parallel roles that you are organised, proactive, and someone enjoys spotting opportunities to make work better.
- Comfortable working in a kaupapa Māori space with a strong understanding of kaupapa Māori, tikanga, Te Reo Māori (or commitment to ongoing learning) that gives the ability to bring cultural authenticity to how you do your mahi.
- Hold a relevant business administration qualification and/or experience which supports advanced Microsoft Office 365 computer literacy.
- Proven project management capability with reliable delivery against deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to handle high-level correspondence, and ability to influence and build trust.
- Have the ability to travel and work flexibly when needed.
It is mandatory for you to have the following:
- Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (citizen, work Visa or NZ Residency).
- Hold a Full New Zealand driver’s licence.
- Preferred applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment checks.
