JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is responsible for proactively identifying and developing sales opportunities and building long-term relationships with customers. The position supports the achievement of hotel revenue goals by acquiring new business, developing existing accounts, and providing excellent customer service.
The Sales Manager also ensures that confirmed business is properly and promptly handed over to the Event Management team for smooth service delivery.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience
- A 2-year degree from an accredited university or college in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field, or a 4-year bachelor's degree in one of these fields.
- 5 years of experience in sales or a related professional area. Experience in the hotel industry is preferred.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Building Relationships and Generating Sales Opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to generate future business.
- Conduct sales calls, client entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, and other sales activities.
- Develop relationships within the local community to expand the customer base.
- Work closely with off-property sales teams to coordinate sales activities effectively.
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure a complete and timely handover of confirmed business to the Event Management team.
Managing Sales Activities
- Participate in sales calls and meetings to develop new business and close sales opportunities.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence.
- Follow up with customers throughout the sales process to ensure smooth communication and business conversion.
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall hotel revenue goals.
Market Knowledge and Revenue Growth
- Identify new business opportunities to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, economic conditions, and supply and demand.
- Understand target customers and their business needs in order to provide effective solutions.
- Identify and pursue the best business opportunities based on market conditions and hotel needs.
