About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Assistant for our Oxford team. In this versatile role, you will connect financial administration, logistics, customer support, and health and safety compliance—managing accounts, equipment logistics, customer records, and workplace safety as a First Aider and Fire Warden.
What’s in it for you
At ADInstruments, we are making science easier. We are passionate about supporting education and research through innovative technology, and we are proud of our collaborative and inclusive culture. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Support, Marketing, and Operations while developing broad experience across financial IT systems, logistics management, and workplace safety. We offer a flexible, hybrid working environment, opportunities for learning and development, and a culture built on trust, collaboration, and meaningful contribution.
Skills and Experience
We’re excited about you because you’ll bring:
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent customer relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.
- Strong communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in customer service, including handling potentially challenging conversations.
- Experience in A/R & A/P is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills such as time management and prioritising.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Prior experience with financial IT systems, including NetSuite and Salesforce, and banking platforms is advantageous.
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office/G-Suite products, in particular Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent attention to detail while working under pressure.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a part time position, 4 days a week based in our Oxford office. The role requires 3 days in the office, with the option to work remotely 1 day per week once your initial training period is complete.
