Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring an experienced Specimen Processing Specialist to work full time days (7a-330p) in the Clinical Lab

Overview:

Operates and maintains laboratory equipment. Responsible for both internal and external customer inquiry and problem resolution.  Frequent interaction with hospitals, nursing facilities, and physician office staff. Functions include inpatient, outpatient, and client specimen processing and may include coordination of mobile phlebotomy service. Assists Manager/Team Coordinator with daily operations, coordination of work, customer satisfaction, new employee training, and meeting regulatory requirements.  Prioritizes the workload and resolves problems without the Manager/Team Coordinator. 

Education

• HS – High School Grad or Equivalent (required)
• Associates Degree (preferred)

• N/A

• 1 year of Laboratory experience (required)
