Albemarle is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Executive Assistant supporting senior leaders within a global enterprise. This role will support the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer primarily, with additional support for the VP of Marketing and the VP of Product Management for the Energy Storage division. This position requires exceptional organizational intelligence, executive presence, and the ability to operate with the utmost discretion in a fast-paced, complex environment supporting global leadership.

The Executive Assistant will serve as a trusted partner to the leaders supported, providing seamless support that enables effective decision-making, cross-functional coordination, and high-level engagement with internal and external stakeholders—including executives and other senior leaders.

 

This position is in office (5-days per week) and located in Charlotte, NC. Given the global scope of this role, occasional work outside of standard business hours will be required to support international stakeholders and partners across multiple time zones.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic extension of the leaders supported by managing priorities, workflows, and information flow with precision and discretion.
  • Ensure supported leaders are fully prepared for all meetings and engagements through proactive planning, briefing materials, and timely follow-ups.

 Calendar & Time Management

  • Manage complex, global calendars for the leaders supported, prioritizing strategic meetings, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Partner with leaders and executive admin team to prioritize key meetings and optimize leaders’ time and focus.

 Global Travel & Executive Engagements

  • Coordinate all aspects of domestic and international travel, including itineraries, accommodations, briefing documents, and logistical support for the leaders supported.
  • Anticipate needs and manage changes in real-time, ensuring seamless execution of travel plans.

 Executive Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Draft, edit, and manage high-level communications, presentations, and reports on behalf of the leaders supported.
  • Serve as a liaison between the leaders supported and senior internal and external stakeholders, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

 Leadership Meeting & Board Preparation

  • Plan and manage leadership meetings, operational reviews, and cross-functional sessions for the supported leaders.
  • Prepare and coordinate materials for executive reports and leadership reviews; ensure follow-through on action items.

 Business Operations & Financial Oversight

  • Support budget tracking, invoice processing, and expense reporting in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Partner with finance and operations teams to monitor departmental spend and project tracking.

 Project Coordination & Document Management

  • Organize and manage confidential documents and project materials.
  • Create polished presentations and reports using Microsoft Office and enterprise collaboration tools.

Enterprise Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with other Executive Assistants and departments to ensure seamless coordination across business functions.
  • Provide occasional support to other enterprise leaders or business initiatives as directed by the leaders supported.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to foster collaboration, accountability, and a culture of excellence within the broader administrative team.

 

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience supporting executives in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Proven ability to manage complex schedules, high-stakes communications, and global logistics with autonomy and foresight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience drafting for senior audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint).
  • Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with a proven track record of navigating ambiguity and managing multiple priorities.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience supporting senior leaders in operations, strategy, or enterprise-level functions preferred.
