We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities Assistant to help maintain safe, clean, functional, and welcoming environments across Alpha House facilities. In this role, you will support day-to-day facility operations through routine maintenance, basic repairs, preventative maintenance, facility inspections, and general upkeep.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general facility upkeep.
- Conduct routine facility and grounds inspections and assist with preventative maintenance.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized common areas, storage spaces, equipment, and exterior grounds.
- Assist with facility projects, vendor and contractor coordination, and moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Pick up, sort, and deliver food donations while maintaining sanitary food storage areas and following food safety protocols.
- Support facility setup, seasonal maintenance, and other operational needs as assigned.
- Follow safety procedures and promptly communicate maintenance, repair, or safety concerns to the Facilities Director.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in facilities, building maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair practices and ability to safely use common tools and equipment.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff, vendors, and contractors.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between local sites required.
