Department/ Cluster: Health Information and Records Department, Kowloon East Cluster
Pay: HK$15,813 to HK$19,984 per month
Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deploy to the functional teams of HIRD which includes Medical Record Store, Admission Office, Bed Booking Team, AE Registration Counter, Medical Report Office and Death Certification Office to assist in the daily operation.
2. Handle medical record folders & A&E / clinic records including filing, retrieval, assembling, tracing, lifting & dispatch.
3. Attend and provide logistic support for the transfer of medical records including transfer between hospitals.
4. Handling data and information access request.
5. Assist in providing counter service and handling enquiries from members of public.
6. Assist in other duties as required, e.g. compiling statistics, preparing meeting minutes and reports, typing, data entry, scanning of records, office administration, handling telephone enquiries, etc.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Entry Requirements:
1. F.5/ S.5 with (a) or (b) below:
(a) HKCEE 5 passes including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language; or equivalent;
OR
(b) 5 subjects in HKDSE attaining the level specified below:
(i) Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language; and
(ii) Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent;
OR
2. F.5/ S.5 with experience.
Preferred Attributes:
1. Experience in clerical / customer service / medical record services, preferably in a healthcare setting.
2. Competent in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing
3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
4. Proficiency in other dialects, such as Mandarin, is an advantage.
5. Good telephone manner and interpersonal skills
6. Adaptable to shift rosters, including weekends, public holidays, and internal post rotations.
