Supporting the Business Growth Services (BGS)– Workforce Team, the position of the Administrative Assistant will include the following responsibilities: Create draft agendas, take minutes, and create draft correspondence. General office duties include answering the phones, setting appointments for team members, scheduling meetings for partners, potential partners, and others across campus on behalf of team members. The administrative assistant has significant responsibility in tracking metrics for the team, being the first line of assistance for students, apprentices and employers who are engaging with the BGS – Workforce Team. This position will also be responsible for simple accounting processing and budget management. Being highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and especially Excel is important in this role.
This position requires an individual who is highly efficient in managing office operations independently and making proficient decisions in order in keep the functions of the team running smoothly and on an organized schedule. BGS team members may assign other administrative duties that are not listed here.
Required: High School diploma and some College education; experience in an office setting; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer; excellent listening and composing skills; detailed oriented; organizational skills a must.
Preferred: Associate Degree in Business; worked in an academic or business environment. Experience with Oracle Cloud a plus.
This is a non-exempt position with a minimum hourly rate of: $18.16
