North Wind Site Services is comprised of scientists and technical experts focused on providing program management and environmental remediation services including investigation and characterization, environmental restoration, remedial action, regulatory public involvement services, environmental compliance, logistics, and records and facility management.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Administrative Assistant supports the installation waste management program by taking phone calls, recording waste pick-up and container drop off requests, performing clerical and filing duties, tracking manifests, organizing data, creating spreadsheets, creating reports from government waste tracking systems, maintaining office cleanliness, meeting and greeting walk-in customers, interfacing with client to answer document and records requests, and coordinating with other members of the Hazardous Waste Center crew.
In the spirit of North Wind’s safety-first culture, the Administrative Assistant will be expected to perform their duties in a manner consistent with applicable OSHA, DOT, and RCRA regulations, established North Wind Safety policies and programs, and the project Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate reports from government databases
- Answer phone and route phone calls and/or take messages
- Greets walk-in customers
- Schedules and Coordinates meetings
- Perform general clerical duties
- Assists in generating and creating monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables.
- Data entry.
- Performs filing and recordkeeping tasks
- Strict adherence to safety program requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and client relations.
- Maintenance of work area cleanliness.
- Maintain a level of professionalism at all times.
- Abide by company drug-free policy including a prohibition on cannabis usage.
- Accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
- Creation of documents including PDFs, Word documents, and spreadsheets.
