Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Assistant IV, Budget and Finance Department, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0153773]


The purpose and major responsibilities of this position will be to support the Assistant Dean and Director of Finance and the Sr. Associate Dean for Administration & Finance by performing a variety of administrative, clerical and secretarial duties. This position could also serve as a backup position in the event the Administrative Assistant IV to the Sr. Associate Dean is on vacation or out sick.

 

Typical duties include but are not limited to: office management, light accounting, managing related budgets, preparing check requests and invoices, reporting, word processing, making travel arrangements, maintaining accurate databases and mailing lists, answering telephones, ordering and stocking supplies and equipment, preparing for meetings, and maintaining records and office files. Duties also include gathering information and preparing reports on programs as needed.

 

This role performs duties that supports complex programming while helping to produce materials and manage documents/files/archives required by policy. Assignments have a wide breadth, yet are specialized and require a higher level of experience/knowledge and critical thinking.

 


Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background and/or credit check.

Grade 29 Step 1, salary $50,153.76. 

 

In accordance with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 284.170, initial appointments to classified positions typically begin at Step 1 of the assigned grade. A "Step" refers to the specific rate of pay within a grade, as determined by the Division of Human Resources.
