Document Controller

• Operate and maintain the project's document control system and the common data environment (CDE), applying agreed naming conventions, metadata and revision control.
• Receive, log, distribute and track drawings, specifications, RFIs, material and technical submittals, transmittals, NCRs, site instructions and variation documentation.
• Monitor review and response timelines, and chase overdue items with the Contractor, Designers and PMC reviewers.
• Maintain up-to-date registers (drawings, submittals, RFIs, correspondence, meeting minutes, action logs) and issue regular status reports.
• Ensure only current approved revisions are in use on site, and withdraw superseded documents.
• Support the PMC team in preparing and distributing meeting minutes, progress reports and handover documentation (O&M manuals, as-builts, test and commissioning records).
• Support audits and QA/QC reviews by keeping records complete, auditable and retrievable.
• Handle project information in line with confidentiality and information classification requirements.

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 10 years' document control experience on construction or infrastructure projects, ideally with a PMC or consultancy.
• Experience with a CDE or EDMS platform (e.g. Oracle, Unifier, Aconex, Procore, SharePoint or similar).
• Strong working knowledge of construction documentation workflows (submittals, RFIs, transmittals, as-builts).
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and written English.
