Clinic Receptionist - Clarkston Family Practice & Internal Medicine

Oversees and directs the office functions and duties to ensure an efficient and effective operation of the Clinic. This candidate must possess the ability to provide exceptional customer service to the patient by scheduling appointments, registration, maintaining supplies, filing reports and obtaining insurance authorizations. The ideal candidate will have a desire to be a patient advocate, to keep the patient at the center of their work each day, have a positive outlook, and an understanding of a team approach to daily tasks.

• High School graduate or GED, required. 

• Two years previous provider office experience, preferred.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and surgical procedures nomenclature.
• Basic insurance knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent phone etiquette, strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, other office systems.
